TOURNAMENT RULES

• There will be a $35 non-refundable donation that will qualify entrant to participate in the tournament. This donation will constitute registration in the fishing tournament only and will qualify entrant to be eligible for tournament prizes. There will be unlimited entries in this category. Please note that tickets for the dinner/dance will not be available unless purchased in the VIP package.
• Fishing will begin at first light on Saturday, March 28, 2009 in the Indian River (honor system). You may fish by boat, from piers, shore, etc. All anglers on each boat must be a registered participant of the tournament. All fish must be in for judging between 9:00 AM and (no later than) 2:30 PM, (no exceptions) at KENNEDY POINT PARK.
• Anglers catch must be “alive” spotted redfish; winners of tournament are based on the number of spots on your catch. All catch must be released back into the Indian River after judging.
• Participants that receive a citation for “Manatee Zone” violation will automatically be disqualified.
• This is a charity event and prizes for the tournament winners will be determined at a later date based on tournament participation and donations by local businesses (a minimum of 50% of funds raised by registration fees). There will be 4 categories; 1st place, 2nd place, third place. Winners may be subject to a lie detector test.
• All decisions by the tournament judges are final. Only one prize per entrant. The number of spots on your “live” catch is the only judge.
• In the case of a tie in any of the prize categories, there will be a random drawing to decide the winner. The tournament will not be extended.
• State fishing regulations will be followed for this tournament and each entrant is responsible for having proper licenses as required by law. Mutilation of any fish will disqualify entrant; all fish must be “alive” and released upon judging.
• Any controversy concerning a catch and eligibility of entrant must be settled between participants before judging. Such controversial catches will not be considered and are disqualified.
