Well the tuna have arrived and are chewing great. There have been many catches of 100 plus pound fish along with many smaller ones. On two trips we made we boated multiples of dolphin and blackfin but the yellows were all short and were released. Well except for the 25 inch yellow which was chewed in half by his daddy. At any rate the fish are there and the cobia are all over the nearshore sites. many have been caught this week so if you have a desire to catch any of these give us a call and we will get you in on the action, Capt. Bottom Fishing is picking up, and the Mullet Run is Starting
This week we saw an upswing in the bottom bite. On my boat, The MTC, we had snapper, black sea bass (delicious), amberjack, and triggerfish (even more delicious). In addition, the mullet are starting to run the beaches, so expect some spectacular fishing in the next couple of weeks for tarpon, kings, jacks, sharks, and more! Great Week for the last of August 2009
Actually both inshore and offshore the fishing was good, with some big redfish to 30 lbs caught on the flats of both the Indian River Lagoon and Mosquito Lagoon, then we caught kings, cobia, and barracuda out on the open ocean out of Canaveral.
We caught the reds on both bait and lures (my best lure this week was a new penny colored rubber jerkbait), and the offshore fish were caught on pogies.
You can check out pictures and get a bunch of information on my website, www.capt-keith.com .

Although the fishing has been great with lots of nice cobia being brought to the table, the last week has been a little too rough for us to get out. The weather is expected to lay down nicely this coming week so the fish should be hungry and we are ready to get on them. I expect to see more kingfish and some nice cobia being brought over the side of the boat and with any luck the bottom will have warmed up some from the storms and the snappers will be chewing hard. Give us a call and we'll put you on the fish, Capt. Jeff 407-366-8347

The king fish bite is still the main stay for the time being with limit numbers being caught daily. While you are out there working those fish make sure you keep a wahoo bait out as they are mixed in and probably feeding on some of the kings. I suggest a shougun rod with a chin weighted ballyhoo dropped back about 150 to 200 yards. We have been hit them often with that method. The sailfish are also beginning the August bite and have become a regular catch from 75 to 150 feet. Look for the large bait pods on your screen and work the outsides of them. The sails will be schooled up around those pods and often balling up the bait enough the birds may be working them making them easier to find. You can't catch fish if you ain't fishing boys!!!! Capt.
